In partnership with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department Mounted Unit, McNicholas Miniatures and Deputies taught adults and children from the Colorado Center for the Blind about horses. They taught about the care, responsibilities, and benefits of horsemanship and using horses in a mounted sheriff’s unit. Participants were able to brush, hug, and interact with Love Bug, Happy Times, Kobe, and the horses of volunteers and deputies.
Deputies and volunteers teach blind students about horses at Sterne Park.
